For our farm, we chose Kinder goats. After much research, we decided on this dual purpose, smaller goat. A cross between a Nubian and a Pygmy and averaging between 100 and 125 pounds, they are the right size and  temperament for us. Their milk is very sweet and rich in butterfat, they are great mothers (averaging 2 or more kids per birthing), and they are not seasonal breeders so we can have kids around the farm any time of the year. They are perfect for our small farm and are just the right size for the toddler in our family to hug.  As with any other goat, Kinders enjoy being with other goats. It is not recommended to ever have just one goat.  Our does and doelings are $300 each and our bucks and bucklings are $250 each.  There is a discount for multiple purchases.
